Callum Birch
Callum has spent eight years in education, three of them in formal teacher training, and he knows what makes learning stick. His background is deep in Year 3 - 6 classrooms, with relief teaching up through Year 7 and 8 and one-on-one tutoring for kids as young as six, including plenty of experience supporting students with dyslexia, autism, and other learning differences.
What sets Callum apart is how fast he connects with students. Kids relax around him, and that's exactly when real learning happens. He's patient, strengths-based, and sharp at reading what each student actually needs, then adjusting on the fly to get them there. He thrives with anxious learners and kids who've fallen behind, turning gaps in literacy and maths into wins, and watching their confidence grow right alongside their skills.
Outside of tutoring, Cal's just as driven, training for triathlons, sharpening his game at chess, working through guitar, and the occasional video game night. At home, he's got a full house: wife Chloe, a German Shepherd, a Burmese cat, and a small flock of chickens.
Cal's based in Belfast and happy to travel to local suburbs. He tutors weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, in-home preferred, with online available on request.
